All DART regions have experience in strengthening their economy, health care and education systems. Some participated in former INTERREG projects such as E-Health, Older People for Older People, Prometheus, Telemedicine and E-Health, MLAB Employment for young people, FORIET, DISTRICT, Eurbest or DESERVE.

Some regions are involved in demographic change orientated networks such as "Demographic Change Regions Network", "Seni@r" etc.
